OUR MISSION:
Safe Harbor strives to foster emotional healing, provide a safe space to experience positive socialization, and eliminate barriers to basic needs for the Hunterdon County community.
Kids & Teens
Children love coming to Safe Harbor. We have fostered a tangible sense of community at our center. Our little ones enjoy Play Time, Music Circle, and Storytime. Kids may also receive tutoring and homework assistance from our teens. Our After School Community Time Program is a safe place where people of all ages are able to learn healthy socialization skills.
These programs give our teens in our community a real chance to make a difference through volunteering and utilize their talents to support their community.
Families &
Community Events
We love to balance play time with parent time. While the children are participating in our After School Community Time Program, parents are given the opportunity to have some of their needs met. Many enjoy socializing with other parents that may be experiencing the same struggles. This time also provides a judgement free zone for parents to talk to our Executive Director about community referrals they need and discuss barriers they are experiencing which prevent access to basic needs.
Our community events promote unity and belonging. You will find various events throughout the year like Family Fun Night, Crochet Classes, a PJ Party, and other events promoting family togetherness and healthy socialization.
Programs are offered free of charge with a suggested donation of whatever someone is able to afford
