Children’s Play Group is offered three times a week. During this time, school aged children may receive tutoring and homework assistance, do arts and crafts, and enjoy time playing with their peers. Kids can enjoy story time or a music circle with our teen volunteers. Safe Harbor has a designated play area that is a safe place for kids to learn and practice healthy socialization techniques. Many of our children come with parents to these groups. Parents can enjoy time in the support room, where they will meet other adults who may be experiencing the same hardships or stressors. Here they are able to express their needs of clothes, food, or other necessities, and share emotional needs without fear of judgment.
